Shipping Policy

Thank you for choosing Oriental Spirit to be part of your mindful tea journey. To ensure your premium teas remain fresh and your delicate artisan teawares arrive safely, we operate a specialized dual-warehouse fulfillment system.

Please review our shipping guidelines, processing times, and estimates below:

1. Our Dual-Warehouse System

To balance local convenience with authentic cultural heritage, your order may be fulfilled from two different locations depending on the items selected:

  • Teas & Curated Gift Sets: Shipped exclusively from our US fulfillment center to guarantee peak freshness and rapid local delivery.

  • Artisan Teawares (Jian Shui Zitao Pottery): Shipped directly from our mainland China artisan workshops. Because each piece is individually handcrafted and fragile, they require specialized, secure international packaging straight from the source.

Note: If your order contains both tea and teawares, they will arrive in separate packages with unique tracking numbers, at no additional shipping cost to you.

2. Processing & Delivery Times

We strive to process all orders mindfully and efficiently.

  • US Local Shipping (Teas & Gift Sets)

    • Processing Time: 1–2 business days.

    • Estimated Delivery: 2–5 business days via USPS or UPS Ground.

  • Artisan Direct Shipping (Jian Shui Pottery / International)

    • Processing Time: 2–3 business days (required for meticulous safety inspection and protective wrapping of fragile ceramics).

    • Estimated Delivery: 7–14 business days with premium international tracked couriers.

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary slightly during peak holiday seasons or unexpected carrier bottlenecks.

3. Shipping Rates

  • Teas & Curated Gift Sets: We are proud to offer Complimentary Standard Shipping on all local US tea and gift set orders.

  • Artisan Teawares: Shipping rates for our fragile handcrafted pottery are calculated dynamically at checkout based on the package weight and destination country to ensure fully insured transit.

4. Tracking Your Journey

Once your order has been dispatched, you will automatically receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number(s) and a direct link to follow your package’s journey in real-time. Please allow up to 24–48 hours for the tracking status to update on the carrier's portal.

5. Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes (For Artisan Teawares Only)

For international shipments of our handcrafted pottery, the recipient is the importer of record. You are entirely responsible for ensuring compliance with all local laws and for paying any customs duties, import tariffs, or local clearance taxes levied by your country’s customs authorities upon arrival. Oriental Spirit has no control over these sovereign charges and cannot predict their amounts.

6. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages

Every shipment we send is fully insured.

  • If your package is marked as delivered but you cannot find it, please check with your neighbors or local post office before reaching out.

  • If your handcrafted pottery arrives damaged or broken due to transit, please review our Refund Policy and contact our care team within 48 hours of delivery at support@orientalspirit.com with photos of the damaged item and packaging. We will prioritize a replacement for you.
