Relief Peony 闂?Jianshui
A flower shaped by shadow.
This rounded Jianshui purple pottery teapot carries a continuous peony relief across its front: petals, folds and leaves rise gently from the clay rather than sitting on its surface as a painted image. The plain body, round knob and short angled spout keep the floral work grounded in daily tea.

A vessel of good wishes
The bloom appears when light moves.
Relief is read through shadow. A petal edge catches a highlight, a recess holds darkness, and the flower changes as the vessel turns in the hand. Its character is quiet in a still image and more apparent in use.
The decoration is part of the clay body, not a separate printed layer. That is why the peony can be felt before it is fully seen.
The clay carries the relief
A raised surface.
A grounded ritual.
