1. Who we are

This website (orientalspirit1.com) is operated by Oriental Spirit (Asia Pacific) Limited, a limited company registered in Hong Kong (“Oriental Spirit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We trade as Oriental Spirit.

Orders are sold by the Hong Kong company above and shipped from our fulfillment facility in Dongguan, Guangdong, China.

The store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform we use to present and sell our products.

By using this website, you agree to this Legal Notice, our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Refund Policy.

2. What this notice covers

This page identifies the company behind the store and sets out rules specific to our handmade goods, international shipping, and intellectual property. It does not replace our other policies. If a product page, checkout screen, or shipping page states something more specific about duties, delivery, or returns, that statement applies to that order.

3. Intellectual property

Brand names, logos, product photography, texts, videos, graphics, and the design of this website are owned by Oriental Spirit (Asia Pacific) Limited or used under license. You may not copy, scrape, resell, or commercially reuse this material without our prior written consent.

Product forms, carved motifs, and photographs of individual vessels are part of our commercial offering. Reproducing our product images or listings on another store is not permitted.

4. Handmade goods — variation is not a defect

Jianshui (Jian Shui) Zitao teawares are made by hand in Jianshui, Yunnan, China: thrown, carved or inlaid, fired, and polished without glaze. Because of this process:

• Color, tone, weight, wall thickness, carved detail, and surface lustre will vary from piece to piece and from the photographs.
• Photographs are taken in professional lighting. Your screen cannot fully reproduce the mineral surface of unglazed clay or the color of tea liquor.
• These natural variations are expected in authentic handmade pottery. They are not defects.

The following are not “handmade variation” and are handled under our Refund Policy:

• Cracks, chips, or breakage on arrival
• A vessel that cannot pour or hold water as reasonably expected
• A shipment that is lost or stolen in transit (shipments are insured)

If a piece arrives damaged, email us within 48 hours of delivery at support@orientalspirit1.com with photos of the item, the inner packaging, and the outer carton, and your order number. We will prioritize a replacement or refund as described in the Refund Policy.

5. Where orders ship from, and who pays customs

Place of making and place of shipment are not the same:

• Jianshui pottery is crafted in Jianshui, Yunnan, China.
• All orders on this store — teaware, tea, and gift sets — are packed and shipped from our fulfillment facility in Dongguan, Guangdong, China.

Shipments from Dongguan are international parcels. Unless checkout explicitly states that duties are included (Delivered Duty Paid), you are the importer of record. You are responsible for complying with import rules in the destination country and for paying any customs duty, tax, or clearance fee assessed by local authorities.

We do not control customs agencies and cannot refund sovereign charges. Inspection or clearance may extend the delivery window. Destination availability and, where Shopify provides it, duty estimates appear at checkout — please read those before paying.

6. Limitation of liability

Nothing in this notice limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oriental Spirit (Asia Pacific) Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the site.

For products, our responsibility is as stated in the Refund Policy and in section 4 above: we stand behind functional defects and transit damage. Handmade variation and screen-to-object color difference are not grounds for a claim.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections in your place of residence still apply.
